OUR HISTORY
FROM HUMBLE BEGINNINGS, GREAT THINGS EVOLVE
VISION
Holmwood Highgate (Aust) P/L as we know it today has had several name changes over the years. It all started back in 1950 with £25.00 and the foresight of three men, Adams, Mellish & Anderson
AMA Industries was formed.
BUILD IT
The first tank created by AMA Industries was delivered in 1951. The following year, AMA Industries would establish its first relationship with Shell fuels. AMA later would become Holmwood Industries, spanning from 1963 through to 1980, with the name stemming from where the founder, Sid Mellish spent time with his wife, Vera.
GROWTH
In 1985, after years of growth and development, Holmwood Industries acquired Highgate Engineers, and thus, Holmwood Highgate was born.
In 1994, tanker production ceased at our ford road workshop in Rochedale, and a move to anew premises in Underwood was undertaken,
Growth continued with many proud Holmwood Highgate tank owners. In 1999 Holmwood Highgate purchased Narwhal Transport Equipment, giving the birth to Narwhal Fluid Quip.

EVOLUTION
in 2008, due to outgrowing our expansive factory in Underwood, the decision was made to purchase and construct our new factory in Loganholme.
Holmwood Highgate now has evolved to become a multi facet company. Boasting skilled creation of our range of tankers, to now include military grade solutions as well as aviation.
TODAY
Holmwood Highgate Is still solely owned by The Mellish family, and comprises the entire third generation Mellish family as employees of the company.
The three brothers work throughout the company in different areas of the business to ensure the integrity and quality of the company product is maintained.
