Rural DistributorHolmwood Highgate has worked in close association with Mobil Oil Australia to build the most flexible and practical B/double tanker which includes demountable dispensing equipment for rural and farm deliveries. Holmwood
Highgate are proud to release the first of this
type in Australia named Rural
Distributor. This
B/Double tanker is designed to transport the maximum capacity from a
main fuel depot into country areas where the B/Double becomes two
separate tankers. The
benefits that are gained by this concept? Eliminating double handling of fuel into storage thus reducing unnecessary costs and losses.
The
overall length of the lead tanker is shortened by
a sliding suspension, making it suitable
for those tight deliveries. Multiple compartments gives versatility to small and
large deliveries.
Demountable
dispensing equipment is lifted into place on the tanker at the final destination
and connected ready to work
in a matter of minutes. This has been designed to be operator friendly and
effectively carried out by one person. The end result?
Less tare weight at the initial loading point, allowing more flexibility
with fuel volumes when the B/Double is loading. It’s
a mighty call to be little different nowadays, nevertheless when Holmwood
Highgate decided to put this particular new idea into practice the Rural
